You’ll need: a printer, paper, scissors, tape, crayons or markers.
A big family of elephants is going for a walk today, there’s mummy, daddy, kids, grandpa, grandma, cousins and friends. But they are all white! What colour would you like to colour the elephants in to make them look pretty? Grey like in real life or maybe something more colourful? Colour and decorate the elephants deciding who is who and give them names.
Print the files attached. There is only a black and white version of the activity to colour it in. If you’d like to cut out the elephants it’s probably easier to colour them in first and then cut them out.
Why not start by making your own family – choose the right size to represent everyone and ask about their favourite colour. You could then use the elephants to decorate the house, e.g. tape them next to hooks where you keep coats or on chairs where everyone sits.
If you like you could get even more artistic and start colouring the elephants in stripes, spots and rainbow colours.
Or you could use a different technique than colouring. For example you could glue on little pieces of paper, buttons, pieces of fabric or sparkles.
