Optional: crayons or markers, coloured paper, paints, stickers.
Try out all kinds of new techniques. Add stickers or cut out shapes from coloured paper to add texture to the balloons. Maybe you have some coloured feathers at home, or pieces of colourful and patterned fabric, or pick some daisies and leaves in the garden. Your imagination is the limit!
Hang the hot air balloons in your kids room or in the living room. If the weather is nice hang them up in the garden so they look more realistic against the blue sky. They will also look beautiful in a tree or a big bush.
Do you know any books for kids about hot air balloons? They’d make a wonderful theme and as so far we haven’t got any in our library.
