Make your own pizza just the way you like it. Choose your favourite toppings in the quantities you like! Start with the dough, add the tomato sauce and then try out all the different combinations of toppings. Pepperoni and tomato? Mushrooms and mozzarella? Spicy prawns with olives? Ham and piannple? Or maybe plain cheese? Let all the stuffed animals in your room join in for a pizza party and don’t let anyone leave hungry!
Start with the dough, glue on the tomato sauce and then the toppings of your choice. Put the pizza in an imaginary oven (under a chair, under a pillow or in a toy oven if you have one). Carefully take out the pizza using an oven glove and a spatula, put the pizza on a plate and cut into slices using scissors and enjoy. Play along and pretend that it’s hot.
To make things more real put on aprons and pretend to sprinkle flour onto the surface before you start. With older kids you can arrange the room into a restaurant with a kitchen. Who do you want to be: a pizza chef, a waiter or a hungry guest? You can even make menus and money to pay the bill at the end.
